Guide: How To Send International Corporate Gifts on Goody

Step 1: Check What’s Available In Your Recipient’s Country

Before you begin, it’s a good idea to see what’s available in your destination(s):

• Visit the Browse page
• Click the 🇺🇸 icon
• Toggle your destination (e.g. Australia)

Then, see what Goody offers for that country: Gift cards, physical gifts, or both?

Step 2: Set Up Your Gift, As Usual

Same as always, add a gift, digital card, message, and your recipients' names and emails.

You may want to ensure that your recipient will be able to receive the specific gift you chose for them, without having to swap it out for something that’s available in their region. In that case, you’ll want to browse for a gift or gift card that’s available in your destination country (using the 🇺🇸 icon to filter).

Step 3: Configure Your International Gift Settings

On the Send page, you’ll see two different ways to configure international gifts:

• Standard: People outside the U.S. and Canada cannot accept your gift. No additional international fees.
• Global: Let recipients in 130+ countries receive or swap for a physical gift from Goody's collection. Up to $50 additional fees per international recipient. ‍

You'll also see an option to Enable gift cards. This lets international recipients receive or swap for local gift cards. (This is where it’s helpful to know whether physical gifts and/or gift cards are available in your destination.) For international gift cards, there are no additional fees, but a paid software subscription is required.

Finish configuring your gift, then send!

Once you enable international gifts, then if the gift you chose isn't available in your recipient's country, they'll see a popup inviting them to select an equal- or lower-priced alternative.

Do international recipients see gift cards in USD? Are they to relevant brands?

When you send international gift cards on Goody, we offer locally relevant brands (e.g. Amazon UK, Uber India), and gift cards are shown in the recipient’s own currency. 

Can Goody do branded swag internationally?

In many cases, yes, we can! If you pre-purchase swag or custom boxes from our catalog, we’re often able to ship it to international recipients (depending on location). Order minimums apply.

Please note that on-demand branded swag, purchased directly on our website, cannot be shipped internationally at this time.

Do I need a paid plan?

If you're gifting to recipients in the U.S. and Canada, then you do not need a paid software plan to gift on Goody.

If you're gifting outside of the U.S. and Canada or want to send gift cards, then you will need a paid subscription to Goody Pro or Goody for Teams to gift internationally.

Should I set up a separate gift for each country I’m gifting to?

It’s up to you! This is not a necessary step, because international recipients can always swap your gift for something available in their region. 

There are also many wonderful gifts on Goody that ship to both domestic and international recipients. (Use the  🇺🇸 icon to discover these in our Browse experience.)

Alternatively, you may also choose a gift that’s not available in your recipient’s country. In that case, they will be prompted to choose from alternative gift cards or physical gifts, based on the settings you configured in Step 3 above.
