Goody and Postable Join Forces to Create the Ultimate Card and Gift Experience

Goody and Postable Join Forces to Create the Ultimate Card and Gift Experience

Powered by the new Goody Commerce API, our Postable integration lets you send "handwritten" physical cards that include Goody gifts.

We're incredibly excited to announce our new partnership with Postable – the innovative stationery company that prints, addresses, and mails cards for consumers.

Using the new integration, customers on Postable’s digital platform can send beautiful, personalized physical cards, complete with a QR code to redeem a gift via Goody. If recipients don't love the gift chosen for them, they can even swap it for one of equal value, powered by Goody's unique gifting technology.

It used to take multiple trips to a stationery shop, a brick-and-mortar retailer, and the post office to send a card and gift. Now, Postable customers can do it all in minutes, right from their device. With cards and gift options for Father’s Day, birthdays, kids, weddings, business gifting, and new grads, the partnership makes “adulting” easier than ever before. Goody’s gift selection includes beloved brands like Levain Bakery, MALIN + GOETZ, Fly By Jing, Graza, Dagne Dover, JBL, Cuisinart, and dozens more.

The partnership is powered by Goody’s recently announced Commerce API, which lets businesses sell or send gifts from 300+ brands right in their website or app. “We’ve long been fans of Postable’s innovative approach to physical cards,” says Goody CEO Katy Carrigan. “So it felt like a perfect partnership to help them add gifting within their platform.”

Postable co-founder Jesse Blockton adds, “We’d been thinking about adding gifts for years, and we made it happen in a month with Goody’s API. We couldn’t be more excited about the partnership. We both have savvy, discerning, generally lovely customer bases, so it’s amazing to be able to pair our curated cards with their curated gifts – brands people actually want to send.”

Goody’s innovative approach to gifting also means that senders don’t need to stress about finding the perfect gift. That’s because recipients can always swap their gift for equal-priced alternatives (with no pricing shown).

“Something we’ve learned here at Goody is that gifts are swapped far more often than you’d expect – nearly half the time,” says Carrigan. “You may think you’ve found the perfect gift for someone, but they could have an allergy, they could have a similar product already, or they could just prefer something else. That makes traditional gifting extremely wasteful, which is a core problem we’ve been able to solve.”

No stranger to innovation, Postable has continually “pushed the envelope” since its founding ten years ago – and racked up accolades for doing so. The company’s patented handwriting fonts are Martha Stewart-approved, and The New York Times considers their free online address book an essential time saver. Consumers also love their ridiculously easy-to-use custom card builder, augmented reality holiday card experiences, and gradual rollout of AI-integrated offerings.
