Introducing Goody’s New AI-Powered Message Assistant

Writing the perfect gift message just got easier, with a new tool to help Goody users find their authentic voice.

How hard is it to write a card message? For many people, the answer is: surprisingly tough.

Otherwise articulate writers can find themselves sidelined for hours by a simple thank-you note. Whether you’re sending holiday gifts to your whole team or thanking a client, sometimes the right words just… don’t come.

Now, Goody can help.

We’ve added a new AI-powered writing partner directly into our corporate gifting platform. It gives you thoughtful, relevant message ideas based on your occasion, tone, and style – without losing your authentic voice.

What Goody’s AI message assistant can do

  • Suggest messages for any gifting occasion, like birthdays, holidays, congratulations, or onboarding
  • Adjust the tone from casual to formal
  • Add personality with options like enthusiastic, concise, longer, millennial, Gen Z, or funny
  • Personalize at scale using tokens like {{firstname}} or {{fullname}}
  • Let you add instructions to refine the message even more

It works right beside your message box, so you never need to leave Goody or start from scratch.

Using AI to sound human: Senders can find an authentic voice by adjusting inputs, like formality or length.

Why we built it

Goody’s mission is to make gifting easy and delightful for everyone. And we know that writing the message is sometimes the hardest part of the send. This new helper saves time and takes away the pressure, while still making each gift feel warm and personal.

“Some people assume that writing a card message is easy. It's not," says Katy Carrigan, CEO of Goody. “You’re translating intangible emotions into exact words. You’re navigating tone, social conventions, how familiar or formal to be. None of that stuff is easy!”

Simplifying – not replacing – authentic messages

It was really important to us that this isn’t just replacing real, human messages with AI slop,” says Mark Bao, co-founder and CTO at Goody. “Our goal with this feature is to help users find expressions that feel appropriate and genuine in their voice, faster than they would on their own.”

To that end, rather than outputting a single message, users choose from multiple options. They can also edit and augment messages, adjusting length, tone, and formality, ensuring it sounds like something they’d really write.

These careful design choices mean that Goody’s AI tools won’t leave gift recipients with that increasingly familiar doubt about whether a human wrote the message they’re reading.

Available now for all users

This feature is included for free on every Goody plan. Use it for employee gifting, client appreciation, onboarding, holidays, team celebrations, or any moment you want to make meaningful.
