Handmade in the Gifu prefecture of Japan for 90 years, these Washi table lights were designed by Shigeru Uchida. The simple wire armature supports the delicate Washi material of bamboo filament and rice paper. The simplicity of their structure is characterized by a wire armature that dilates a continuous spiral of bamboo filament and high grade washi paper. Flat packed and gift boxed, the experience of taking a Paper Moon Lantern out of its box is like unfolding precious silk.
